Beitbridge outfit, Vhembe Stars Academy reduced the points gap between them and Super Strikers to three and Jessie to one in the Matebeleland South Division 2 Pool A table on Sunday following 2-1 victory over Boys Academy at Dulibadzimu Stadium.
Vhembe staged a remarkable comeback, securing maximum points after being one nil down at one point before eventually winning 2-1 in a hard fought battle at Dulibadzimu Stadium.
The win sees Vhembe Stars Academy remaining in third position with 24 points, one point behind Jessie and three points behind Super Strikers who have a perfect season so far.
Welcome Mutale broke the dead lock for Boys Academy, but Johan Moyo leveled for Vhembe , before the substitute Chris Kwaramba sealed the win with a decisive 89th minute goal.
