The 2024 NAPH, choral, percussion band, Jikinya and chess competitions are underway in Beitbridge in Matabeleland South as school children from the country’s ten provinces battle it out for supremacy.

The competition promises to be an exciting and impactful competition, which leverages the power of arts and entertainment to educate and empower young children. The competition is running under the theme “say no to drugs and substance abuse” which aims at raising awareness about the danger of substances abuse to young generation.

It also does foster creativity and provide platform for the young talents to shine, and ultimately contributing to a brighter substance free future generation to come.

Matabeleland South is represented by Usher primary school in the traditional dance side [Jikinya] whilst on the percussion Insiza district is the province’s torch bearer.

Mat South representatives are hoping to conquer their rivals considering that they are at their home soil.
