MATABELELAND South Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Albert Nguluvhe has said water and sanitation, road rehabilitation, health, education, agriculture, youth empowerment and women’s economic development will headline the province’s 2026 goals.
He asked all citizens, traditional leaders, local authorities, development partners and the private sector to work together in guarding infrastructure, fully participate in development plans, promote peace, be accountable and involve other citizenry.
In a short sharp new year message on January 1, 2026, Nguluvhe said the Government remained firmly committed to accelerating development.
“ As we usher in a new year, I wish to extend my sincere gratitude to the people of Matabeleland South for your resilience, unity and unwavering commitment to development. The past year tested our strength, but it also demonstrated our collective ability to rise, adapt and continue building our communities,” he said.
“The Government remains firmly committed to accelerating development through devolution. In the year ahead, we shall intensify the implementation of people-driven projects in key sectors such as water and sanitation, road rehabilitation, health, education, agriculture, youth empowerment and women’s economic development. Our goal is to ensure that no community is left behind as we move towards Vision 2030.”
