MATABELELAND South Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution and Beitbridge East legislator Albert Nguluvhe continued his Road Runner Chicks Empowerment Programme, distributing 120 chicks to youths, Women’s League members and elderly residents in Madaula Ward 3 in his constituency.

The gesture is part of efforts to promote sustainable livelihoods and household income generation.

In an update in his Official Whatsapp Channel after the distribution exercise, Nguluvhe said the initiative forms part of broader efforts aimed at economically empowering vulnerable groups through sustainable projects aligned with the national development agenda and Vision 2030.

Besides the empowerment programme, Nguluvhe took the opportunity to brief residents on Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB 3), outlining its role in strengthening governance and advancing national development objectives.

“It is important for communities to understand constitutional developments because they shape the governance system and the future of our development trajectory as a nation,” he said.

He urged community members to remain informed and actively participate in discussions on issues that shape the country’s future.

Nguluvhe also called on residents to take part in the forthcoming National Cell Day scheduled for June 27, describing it as an important platform for grassroots mobilisation and community development.

He said the event would provide citizens with an opportunity to contribute towards national development goals while strengthening party structures.

Nguluvhe further updated residents on various development projects underway in Matabeleland South Province and Beitbridge East Constituency, highlighting ongoing infrastructure development, service delivery improvements and economic empowerment initiatives aimed at transforming communities and improving livelihoods.

The Road Runner Chicks Empowerment Programme is part of a wider push to support youths, women and the elderly through income-generating projects, with Government seeking to foster inclusive economic growth and improve living standards in line with Vision 2030.
