The “Construction Boys,” Sheasham FC, suffered their first defeat of the season after going down 1-0 to Central Region Soccer League Division One debutants Hard Rock FC over the weekend.
Sheasham’s remarkable 23-match unbeaten run came to an end when Donald Ngoma struck in the 53rd minute, securing maximum points for Hard Rock after a series of missed chances by both sides.
Despite the setback, Sheasham remains on top of the Central Region Soccer League table with 63 points, holding a three-point cushion over the fast-rising newcomers Hard Rock.
The race for Premier Soccer League promotion and the CRSL title is heating up, with both Sheasham and Hard Rock still firmly in contention.
Elsewhere, Dulivhadzimu United slumped to a second successive defeat, falling 3-1 to Tongogara, while West Nicholson edged MSU FC 1-0 to collect a vital win against the “Students.”
