The Tshiṱaudze Heritage Festival will take place from September 25 to 27, 2026, at Mpande Cultural Village in Beitbridge’s Gwanda Tshiṱaudze Constituency.
Held under the theme “Vhutambo ha mvelele ya vhufa ha Tshiṱaudze,” meaning Celebration of Culture and Roots of the Tshiṱaudze Royal Family.
The festival aims to honour the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the Vhavenda people.
The event is expected to attract provincial traditional leaders, including Beitbridge chiefs, Musanda Matibe and Chief Tshiṱaudze, who will host the gathering.
For more than a decade, the festival has been held at the Tshiṱaudze Cultural Village, showcasing the cultural richness of the Vhavenda through traditional regalia, food, music, poetry and dance.
One of the highlights is the ancient Tshikona dance, which remains a symbol of Venda cultural identity.
Event coordinator Beock Nethengwe said the festival serves as a reunion for the Vhavenda community.
“The event is a get-together for the Vhavenda tribe. We are expecting a massive turnout as we celebrate the Tshiṱaudze cultural royalty and Venda roots,” he said.
Nethengwe also said that, details of the entertainment programme would be announced soon on the line up.
“We are expecting artists, DJs, fashion designers and participants from various fields, who will be revealed soon as part of the guest line-up,” he said.
