The announcement was made by Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Information, Publicity & Broadcasting Services, Ndabaningi Nick Mangwana, via a post on X formerly Twitter.

He said the initiative was achieved through a partnership between the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) – UMP District and the Zvataida Rural District Council (RDC).

“Uzumba-Maramba-Pfungwe District has entered a new era of healthcare delivery with the installation of Starlink satellite internet across all 19 health facilities, including Maramba Clinic. This achievement was made possible through a strategic partnership between MOHCC-UMP District and Zvataida RDC,” Mangwana stated.

He added that the high-speed connectivity will allow clinics to facilitate telemedicine consultations, improve data management, and enhance access to specialist care, representing a significant step in bridging healthcare gaps across the district.

Officials say the rollout will strengthen service delivery in remote areas, helping to connect patients with essential healthcare services while improving the efficiency of clinic operations.
