Coaches Fokoza and Stano with SA coaches Zondo, Nkosinathi and Shongwe

BEITBRIDGE coaches Fortune “Fokoza” Ncube and Stanley “Stano” Ncube put more feathers to their wings after qualifying for the CAF B Licences last week.


Both coaches, whose qualifications makes the young gaffers eligible to coach in the Premier Soccer League in Zimbabwe, are connected to Beitbridge side Dulibadzimu United FC with Fokoza being the current head of the technical team.


Stano has been coach of the team since its humble beginnings and left it for Triangle United before stepping aside to further his soccer trainers education.


They were the only Zimbabweans to attend the course whose three phases ran from April this year to last week.The training was at Free State in South Africa and the third and final certification phase was last week.


“We started the first phase in April , 2nd phase July and 3rd Phase this last week. Conti Khubeka and Phera Ranhtlakana were the Coach educators where coach Stanley and myself were the only Zimbabweans and the rest were SA’s citizens,” Fokoza said in an interview.


‘I can now Coach in PSL and this experience will help me upgrade players and those around me,” he said.


Fokoza, who has not sat on the bench for Dulibadzimu United since joining on the second part of the season, returns to his base this week.


His team that has lost three matches on the trot to Grain Tigers, Gwanda Pirates and Chapungu football teams, and this week faces Midlands State University at Dulibadzimu Stadium.


Fokoza leads a team on a rebuilding phase after it lost 10 players in a mass exodus that also swept away the coach Rutherford Matondo.


“I watched these matches and we are not a bad side but we have to work on attitudes, we need to focus on attitudes during play. We are able to turn things around,” he said.
