A 39 year old Mhangura man will rue the day he assaulted and raped his ex-wife after he was slapped with a 12 year jail term by Chinhoyi Magistrate’s Court.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe, (NPAZ) reports that the accused followed the complainant and along the way the complainant informed the accused person that she had re-united with her first husband and that she was pregnant.
This did not go down well with accused person, who took off the complainant’s child who was stripped on her back and placed the child on the ground, before he assaulted the complainant with open hands, fists and booted feet all over the body.
He forced the complainant to the ground and raped her once, after which, he walked away.
