In their second match, the U14 boys faced Rhodes Estate Preparatory School (REPS) and delivered another impressive performance, winning by 57 runs to maintain their unbeaten start.

The winning spirit continued as Wellton’s Under-15 First Team also produced a thrilling performance against Centenary School.

The young Wellton side held its nerve under pressure to claim a hard-fought six-run victory in its season opener.

Wellton School head coach Salvado Malunga praised his teams for their performances, expressing satisfaction with the progress shown by the young cricketers.

“The Colts boys have shown great improvement from their first games of the season, and I’m really proud of them. The First Team has also made a positive start in its first match of the season, and I hope they will continue to improve throughout the season,” Malunga said.

With three wins from their opening three matches, Wellton has laid down an early marker as a team to watch this cricket season.

Attention now shifts to their next challenge, with the teams preparing for their upcoming matches at Falcon College on 23 October 2026.
