The Zimbabwe netball national team achieved back-to-back victories against Northern Ireland, winning 55-48 at the New Celtic Cup playoffs.

After suffering consecutive defeats of 55-45 against Scotland and 50-46 against Wales  the Gems fought hard, landing in the third-place playoff against Northern Ireland. Determined to secure a podium finish, the Gems delivered a top-class performance, leading to a solid win over their opponents. Elizabeth Mushore once again showcased her incredible talent, earning the Player of the Match gong  for the second time in a row.

The 23-year-old Mushore demonstrated remarkable consistency, playing an instrumental role in the Gems’ victory. Her mesmerizing performance was pivotal in helping the team clinch another win against Northern Ireland.

In other results in the tournament , Wales continued their impressive run after edging past Scotland 58-56 in their opening match. The Welsh Feathers maintained their unbeaten status in the tournament, ultimately securing a 59-47 victory over the host nation in the inaugural Celtic Cup final.

The Zimbabwe Gems finished third in the New Celtic Cup, while the Scottish Thistles took home the runner-up title. The Welsh Feathers were crowned champions, and Northern Ireland finished in fourth place.
