In a bittersweet finale at the Miss Universe 2024 coronation night held in Mexico City, Zimbabwe’s Sakhile Dube narrowly missed out on a coveted spot in the Top 12. Despite her impressive journey, including a commendable placement in the Top 30 finalist, she ultimately failed to advance in the competition.
Emerging as a standout in the pageant, Victoria Kjær from Denmark ultimately took home the crown, being named Miss Universe 2024. The 21-year-old dancer wowed the audience and judges with her poise and grace.
Following her in the rankings were Chidimma Adetshina from Nigeria, who was named first runner-up, and María Fernanda Beltrán from Mexico, who secured the second position. The Top 5 was rounded out by Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand and Ileana Márquez from Venezuela.
Although Dube’s journey in the competition has concluded, her remarkable talent and beauty have left a lasting impression. The pageant community and her supporters express pride in her achievements, celebrating her representation of Zimbabwe on an international stage.
As the night concluded, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation for the future, both for the crowned Miss Universe and for those like Sakhile Dube, who continue to inspire and break barriers in the realm of beauty and women empowerment.
