THE Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) has invited members of the public to submit bids for the purchase of seized goods through an informal tender sale scheduled for May 2026.
The exercise is to clear storage facilities and recover revenue from confiscated merchandise following customs and import enforcement operations.
In a notice issued under Tender Number GH/BAK/02/2026, ZIMRA said the tender process is aimed at disposing of detained goods currently being held at its storage facilities in Harare and Manicaland Province.
The authority listed two consignments for sale, including 481 cases of Corona Extra beer and 126 cases of Windhoek beer .
The goods were detained on October 30 2025 and currently stored at Bak Willowvale in Harare.
ZIMRA is also selling four boxes of shower to shower roll on products detained on September 5, 2024, and kept at the Manica Container Depot.
ZIMRA said interested bidders will be allowed to inspect the goods on May 7 2026, before submitting sealed tenders by 4pm on May 8, 2026.
According to the tender conditions, all goods will be sold voetstoots, meaning buyers will purchase them in their current condition without guarantees.
“The bids must be made in United States dollars in line with Statutory Instrument 252A, and bidders will be required to buy the entire consignment for each lot,” Zimra said.
The revenue authority said successful bidders will be required to make payment within seven days after being notified.
Tender documents must be addressed to the Regional Manager Greater Harare and deposited in the tender box at ZIMRA Kurima House along George Silundika Avenue in Harare.
ZIMRA said bidders should include the notice of seizure number, description and quantity of goods, offer price, names, contact details and physical address in their submissions.
The authority conducts regular tender sales and auctions as part of its disposal process for seized and detained goods.
