Zimbabwean Mixed Martial artist, Themba Gorimbo has halted the building of a solar powered library at his village in Bikita due to unnecessary interference of some local people at the community.
“I was trying to build a solar-powered library in my village, and the building was almost finished But due to unforeseen circumstances, I’ve decided to stop the project and break down the building, said Gorimbo.
The UFC fighter recently secured his fourth straight win after beating American Niko Price at Las Vegas, has love to help his Village to do project that will benefit the local children.
However, he mentioned interference from individuals seeking to control the project and dictate his actions.
“My wish in life is to do what I want with my money without having people telling me why I must do this or that.”
The UFC fighter expressed sadness about the decision but prioritized his peace of mind, choosing to redirect his efforts towards connecting with strangers and improving their lives.
Leaked WhatsApp messages indicate some of the people involved include Gorimbo’s relatives. Allegations of witchcraft are also being thrown around as reasons that pushed the UFC athlete to halt the philanthropic project.
