AFTER a decade of consistent delivery of 100 percent pass rate, Wellton Primary School continues to shine as a centre of academic excellence in the heart of Beitbridge, giving quality education to both local and out-of-town learners.
The private institution provides boarding and day schooling.
It offers a full education pathway that includes pre-school, primary and secondary education.
Over the years, the school has built a reputation for blending academic excellence with sports, discipline and community values.

Speaking to Ziyah News Network, the school’s Director and Founder of Welton Group of Schools, Thulani Moyo, said Welton’s vision is rooted in producing well-rounded learners who excel both in the classroom and beyond.
“Our aim as a school is to provide nothing but the best, whether in academics or sports,” said Moyo.
“For the past 10 years, we have maintained a 100 percent pass rate for our Grade Seven learners under ZIMSEC. That consistency is proof of the hard work from our teachers, learners and parents,” he said.
Moyo said the school is now pushing to achieve similar results under the Cambridge curriculum, although some challenges remain.
“We are aiming to achieve the same excellence with Cambridge. However, one of our key challenges is that some learners who join us at Grade Six struggle to transition smoothly into the Cambridge system. Even so, we continue to invest in teaching support to ensure no child is left behind,” said Moyo.
He said Welton’s educational mission aligns with the national development agenda under Zimbabwe Ministry of Education Vision 2030, guided by the Education 5.0 framework.
“Our mission is aligned with Vision 2030. We believe education must be heritage-based, practical and morally grounded. That is why we don’t only teach academics we also teach morals, discipline and community responsibility,” he said.
Beyond the classroom, Wellton Primary School has become a strong pillar of community support.
The institution has donated clothes and food to the district hospital and regularly works with Safe Haven camps by providing foodstuffs and clothing.
The school also opens its sports facilities to the public, hosting major community sporting events largely free of charge.
Among the recent highlights was hosting some of the games during the Vice President Kembo Mohadi Sports Gala.

In the past it offered its griunds to big teams like Dynamos, Highlanders andmany others who come during the hot season to harden their players.
In addition, the school’s large hall is available for community events.
Echoing the director’s sentiments, Head at Welton Primary School, Patricia Moyo, said the school’s success is built on discipline, teamwork and learner support.
“We focus on building confidence in our learners from a very young age,” she said.
“Every child is monitored closely, and our teachers go beyond the call of duty to ensure no learner is left behind. This is how we have sustained our strong results over the years,” she said.
The Head of Welton Academy Wilfred Mudau, which forms the high school section of the institution, also expressed confidence in the school’s future.
“Our goal is to grow confident, critical thinkers who are prepared for higher education and the real world,” said.
“We are strengthening our science, technology and sports departments to ensure our learners compete at national and international level.”
With a decade of academic distinction behind it and ambitious targets ahead, Welton Primary School continues to position itself as one of Beitbridge’s leading education institutions committed to shaping future leaders through quality learning, discipline and community service.
