Harare — The 115th edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS) officially opened in Harare today, attracting exhibitors and visitors from across the country for a week-long showcase of opportunities in agriculture, education, business, health, and innovation. The event will run until Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Exhibition Park.

Among the exhibitors, Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) confirmed in a Facebook update that it is offering on-site enrolment applications, career guidance, and displaying cutting-edge projects from its Innovation Hub. The university’s stand also features graduation regalia and branded souvenirs such as T-shirts, caps, and hats, which have proved popular with current students and alumni.

The Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development also shared images of its exhibition stand on opening day, noting that this year’s show provides a platform to highlight innovation, agribusiness, and investment opportunities in Zimbabwe’s agriculture sector.

The Zimbabwe Red Cross Society invited show-goers to its stand from August 25 to 30, offering free NCD screenings, GP consultations, HIV testing, as well as detailed information on Nurse Aide and First Aid training. The Red Cross is also tagging minors during the event to ensure lost children are safely reunited with parents.

The Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) announced special promotions available throughout the show, including 25% licensing discounts in partnership with CBZ, Post Insurance, and Old Mutual, as well as up to 100% discounts on tyre fitment services through Tyre Club Fitment Centre. Exciting giveaways are also lined up for visitors.
The Zimbabwe Agricultural Show remains the country’s largest annual trade showcase, bringing together government, business, academia, and civil society. With its 2025 edition underway, it continues to provide a vital platform for networking, innovation, and national development.
