The Municipality of Beitbridge has invited local organisations and suppliers to attend a Supplier Engagement Meeting aimed at encouraging and guiding businesses on registration with the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ).
According to a letter from the Municipality seen by Ziyah News Network, the meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 20 January 2026, at 1400 hours, and will be held at the Municipality of Beitbridge (MOB) Chambers.
The engagement seeks to equip local suppliers with practical knowledge on PRAZ registration requirements and procedures.
Municipal officials say the meeting will also outline the benefits of being PRAZ-registered, which include eligibility to participate in public procurement opportunities, improved compliance with procurement regulations, and enhanced business credibility.
In the letter, the Municipality emphasised its commitment to promoting inclusive local economic development by ensuring that local suppliers are well-positioned to benefit from public sector procurement opportunities.
“This engagement will provide an opportunity for suppliers to gain practical insights, ask questions, and better understand procurement requirements and processes,” reads part of the letter.
The Municipality said participation by local businesses will help strengthen collaboration between the local authority and the business community, ultimately contributing to sustainable economic growth in Beitbridge.
Local suppliers and organisations have been encouraged to attend the meeting, which the Municipality says will play a key role in improving access to procurement opportunities within the public sector.
