Award-winning musician Dr. Tawanda Benson has addressed fan concerns following a car accident that left him injured.
The incident sparked widespread alarm when pictures surfaced on social media, showing the artist wrapped in bandages at the accident scene.
A video shared by The Manica Post on X later featured Dr. Tawanda in a hospital bed at an undisclosed medical facility, where he recounted the details of the accident and his injuries.
The accident occurred on Thursday, March 6, in Manicaland Province, while Dr. Tawanda was traveling with two others.
In his update, he revealed the extent of his injuries, which include a broken arm, a deep head wound, and rib injuries.
” I broke my arm and I have a deep cut on my head, on my ribs. I was with my two guys. We all survived but with some injuries,” Dr. Tawanda stated.
The musician also took the opportunity to dismiss rumors of his death that had circulated on social media following the accident.
“A lot of rumours were circulating saying, ‘Dr Tawanda is dead’. No, I’m not. God provided another chance. Another life. So I’m alive, and I’m kicking. More shows. More music to come. Thank you for the well-wishes. I love you so much,” he assured his fans.
Dr. Tawanda’s statement has brought relief to his supporters, who were concerned about his well-being.
