DULIBADZIMU FC travel to Phelandaba Stadium on Wednesday April 22 to face Super Strikers FC, seeking to reclaim rheir lost pride at the hands of newcomers Good Morning FC at home in their last fixture.

Gwanda has not been a favourite hunting ground for Dulis but theynare keen to restore lost pride and the trust of their faithful supporters.

The visitors head into the clash on the back of a narrow 1-0 home defeat to Good Morning FC, with Norest Mazemo scoring in the 31st minute to decide the match.

Team Manager Ferdinard Matete said the team must respond after a poor run of form.

“Coming from two losses, we have to go back to the drawing board and regroup. These results are not pleasing at all, we have to change our attitude and fight for the badge,” he said.

Matete urged the players to show resilience ahead of the away encounter.

“Now we need real character to change these results,” he said.

A Beitbridge resident Phathutshedzo Munyai said the team’s slow start was expected given the circumstances.

“The results are not surprising me at all. I had expected such a start. With a new team and a new coach, this was bound to happen,” he said.

He pointed to Dulibadzimu’s earlier performance as a positive sign.

“They played well against Blanket Mine and even reached full-time at 0-0. Against Good Morning, the least could have been a draw,” he said.

Munyai expressed confidence in the new head coach Scara for his efforts for the team.

“I trust this young coach Polite Bhegedhe “Scara” that he would come right, but the sooner they get a second win the better. Against Super Strikers, I’m not giving them a chance,” he said.

He backed the hosts to edge Dulis in the fixture which is talk of the mining town of Gwanda rhis week.

“Both teams are struggling, but I think Super Strikers will make use of their home advantage and their vocal fan base,” he said.

Both sides head into the match looking to turn their form around, with Dulibadzimu under pressure to deliver a positive result on the road.
