THE Ziyah Media Soccer Tournament has been moved from November 22 to 23 the next day, host of the soccer extravaganza Loadwell Ziyadumah said on Friday.
“The Tournament date has been moved to November 23 and the Minister of State For Provincial Affairs and Devolution Albert Nguluvhe will be the Guest of Honour,” Ziyadumah said in an interview.
The tournament is pittting nine Beitbridge Secondary Schools against each other and rhe defending champions Chibi Secondary School.
Chibi and Tongwe Secondary Schools, seeded in this tourney, the latter surprisingly above national Champions Zezanu High, have been put in different groups.
Winners of the round-robin preliminary games from each group square up for the covered title.
The tournament has been scaled to a district event away from the past when it involved different schools in Masvingo and Matabeleland South provinces.
Soccer scouts are waiting eagerly for the event expected to parade raw rural talent soccer Gods of the country have always left by he wayside.
Chibi has been domineering in the tourney which is a ploughback to rhe soccer loving Beitbridge residents.
