Zimbabwe‘s netball national team, the Gems, are set to take part in  the Africa Netball Cup 2024 edition, set to take place in Namibia on the 9-14 of December 2024.

The Zimbabwe Netball Association took to social media showing their support behind the Gems who are preparing for their ANC2024 campaign.

“The countdown begins, Africa Netball Cup is almost here, and the Gems are ready to fight for glory, let’s rally behind the Gems as they gear up for this event,” said the Netball Association.

The 2024 edition of the Africa Netball Cup will feature nine nations including Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and the Gems. The Gems will be expecting stiff competition especially from some of the most successful netball nations in this competition South Africa, Malawi and the defending champions Zambia.

Meanwhile, in the African Netball Cup Men’s category, Zimbabwe is looking forward to redeem themselves after their defeat by South Africa in the 2023 edition’s final.

The men’s category include the defending champions South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Eswatini, Burundi, Lesotho, Zambia and Namibia.
