Multilingual artist CISAW (Conquering Influential Southern African Warrior), real name Silas Zitah , has refused to be identified with one genre saying it limits his artistic expression by reducing him into a one dimensional artist.
The now Beitbridge based artist, spoke to Ziyah News Network in an interview where he claimed he can sing any genre as long as it pleases his fans.
” I am not following the usual music industry trends, if the fans want Hip Hop I will give them that, if they want Afro Pop, Reggae, if they love all, I can give them all, I want to be making music as per the demands of the fans.”
“As an artist , I have an advantage as I can speak many languages including Ndebele, Shona, English , Xhosa , Suthu and Venda as well, it allows me to reach people of diverse backgrounds ” said CISAW.
CISAW who is an upcoming artist is appealing for partners who can manage his music and ensure he starts doing live shows and does register with the Zimbabwe Music Rights Association (ZIMURA)He also claims some some big name artists stole his music and are using it to diss him, however Ziyah News Network was unable to verify his claims and thus cannot publish any of the names CISAW gave to us .
