A 32 year old man from Muchidzagora village has been sentenced to 41 months in prison for robbery. Mudzimungure, along with three accomplices still at large, used a knife to intimidate a victim outside Black Opel Bar in Gweru. He was sentenced and convicted by Gweru Magistrate Court.
According to the reports from National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) states that at Black Opel Bar in Gweru the complainant was sitting outside the bar when Ponciano Mudzimungure approached him with three other accused persons who are still at large.
Ponciano Mudzimungure pointed a knife at the complainant and took his wallet with USD17 and went away. The complainant reported the matter to the police.
On the same day at around 0200 hours the complainant identified the Ponciano Mudzimungure at Pandas bar and he apprehended him before taking him to the police.
The value stolen was USD17 and nothing was recovered.
