Zimbabwe ‘s Sables stunned Morocco 43-8 to secure a semi-final spot at Africa Rugby Cup and they will be face old nemesis Kenya at Mandela Stadium in Uganda.
Following their impressive quarter final performance against Morocco, Sables will now prepare to lock horns with Kenya on Sunday, 13 July.
The Zimbabwe Rugby Union congratulated the Sables for their remarkable performance saying,“Sables storm through to the Rugby Afrique semi-final with a 43-08 victory against Morocco, through rain or wind, ’neath sun or stormy tether, the steadfast Sables charge, unbowed by weather, hearts afire, with purpose bold and high,chasing the World Cup dream ‘neath Africa’s sky.
In 2024,the Sables won their second Africa Rugby Cup ending their 12 year drought , having won their first in 2012.In 2025, they are now in the Semi finals, trying everything in their power to defend the title.
