COSAFA sides, South Africa and Zambia suffered humiliating losses at the hands of Morocco and Burkina Faso at  the CAF U17 Africa Cup of Nations quarter finals yesterday.

South African ‘s Amajimbos suffered a 3-1 defeat against ,Morocco ‘s young Atlas Lions.

The Amajimbos of South Africa could not withstand the outstanding pressure of Young Atlas Lions ‘star Ziyad Baha who scored twice within two minutes in a dominant second-half performance after the teams went into half time with the Moroccans leading 1-0.

Meanwhile South Africa’s Southern African colleagues, the Young Chipolopolo were knocked out of the tournament after suffering a humiliating 6-1 defeat against Burkina Faso.

Young Burkinabe ‘s Lookman  Tapsoba scored a decisive hattrick as his country  put six past Zambia and  secure a semi final spot.

Morocco is set play against the winner between Ivory Coast and defending champions Senegal, while Burkina Faso will play against the winner of the  between Mali and Tunisia.

The Young  Teranga Lions will battle the young Ivorians today at 1700hours while Mali and Tunisia will battle at 2000hours tonight in search of a semi final spot.
