Struggling Harare giants Caps United are gearing up to face inform debutants Mwos FC in match day 16 of the Premier Soccer league today at Ngoni Stadium.
Following their 1-0 victory against Chicken Inn in match day 15, the Green Machine is looking to secure back to back victory, to try to claw their way back to a better position in the league.
Mwos FC are coming into this match against the backdrop of two dropped points in their match against premier league returnees Triangle. The Norton outfit will no doubt be looking to redeem themselves and secure maximum points in front of their fans against the Ian Bakala side who have shown positive signs since their Zambian former player took over from Lloyd Chitembwe.
One of the bright sparks of the season so far has been Mwos FC ‘s dominant and bullish performance against big teams is on record. On the other hand Caps United has struggled to be consistent over the past 15 matches.
Caps United have 16 points while Mwos have 31 points after 15 matches.
If the Punters secure a victory against Green Machine, they will move to 33 points and reclaim top spot from Simba Bhora, who sits on 32 points. Meanwhile, if Caps United Wins, they will move to 11th position with 19 points.
Elsewhere, the Bulawayo giants, Highlanders FC have redeemed themselves from last week’s dissapointment with a hard fought 1-0 victory against Manica Diamonds away from home.
The visitors scored the solitary goal on minute 64 after a beautiful strike by Mafious Chihweta , to secure the three points.
