The ZESA National Training Centre, located at 16676 Ganges Road, Belvedere, Harare, has for decades been instrumental in equipping Zimbabwe’s electricity sector with skilled personnel.

The centre offers a range of technical and engineering training programs that support power generation, transmission, and maintenance operations under ZESA Holdings the country’s state owned electricity utility.

ZESA NTC has consistently offered similar technical training opportunities in previous intakes. In the 2022 training calendar featured practical courses such as XLPE cable jointing, transformer maintenance, substation management, and solar technology, underscoring its role as a cornerstone of technical capacity building within the power sector.

Industry experts have long highlighted the importance of training centres like ZESA NTC in addressing the skills gap within Zimbabwe’s electricity industry.

A 2023 review by the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) showcased the ongoing investment in technical human capital is vital to improving energy reliability and supporting national development goals.

The 2026 intake represents a continuation of ZESA’s broader commitment to professionalising the energy workforce. It provides young Zimbabweans with a gateway to careers in electrical engineering, instrumentation and communication systems areas central to the country’s modernisation drive.

Prospective applicants must ensure their applications reach ZESA NTC by 14 November 2025. Those who meet the academic and documentation requirements will be shortlisted and contacted directly by the training centre.
