TWO Beitbridge outfits, Dulibadzimu United and Vhembe Stars Academy FC, will be hoping to improve their home and away form as they chase maximum points in Central Region Soccer League fixtures this weekend.
Vhembe Stars Academy will lock horns with Shabane Mine in a difficult match. Shabane are perennial Central Region Soccer League Division One contenders.
Following a terrible start to the season, Vhembe Stars Academy will be looking to rediscover their winning rhythm against Shabane Mine. This will be one of the most challenging fixtures for the Beitbridge side, as Shabane Mine have the edge, with experience playing in the Central Region Soccer League Division One.
Speaking to Ziyah News Network, Vhembe Stars Academy Secretary-General Foster Abekie said, “We are ready to play against Shabane Mine. We still need to improve our goal-scoring record because it is not as good as we want. Our players need to master how to manage the game, but overall we are heading in the right direction. We are looking forward to improving and picking up our winning rhythm.”
Fellow Beitbridge outfit Dulibadzimu United is set to battle ZRP Gwanda at Phelandaba Stadium at 15:00.
After three consecutive challenging matches, the border side, Dulis, will look to regain their winning streak. They have dropped 5 points due to defeats and draws: a 3-1 loss to Grain Tigers and 1-1 draws against both Vhembe Stars Academy and Sabi Mine.
It is clear the Beitbridge teams are struggling for form and consistency. However, the Maskodobo fans remain positive, hoping their team will regain its winning streak as soon as possible.
