The Mutukudzi family saga continues to unfold, capturing the attention of fans and the media. In a surprising twist, UK-based fan Nancy Chimbizi has launched a GoFundMe campaign aimed at supporting the daughters of the late Zimbabwean music legend Oliver Mtukudzi, Sandra and Selmor.

This move has reignited discussions about family dynamics and the public’s perception of celebrity support.

Chimbizi’s decision comes during a turbulent time for the Mukukudzi family, especially after a recent interview in which Sandra and Selmor discussed their experiences during their parents’ separation and the fallout that followed, leaving many fans divided.

In her campaign, Chimbizi expressed a heartfelt desire to uplift the spirits of the sisters, stating, “Nobody deserves to feel unwanted or unloved regardless of divorce; a child is a child.” Her intentions seem noble, aiming to provide emotional and possibly financial support during a challenging time for the family.

However, the GoFundMe initiative has sparked a flurry of comments on social media, with many questioning the appropriateness of the campaign.

Critics voiced concerns about the timing and the implications of financially supporting two women who are perceived to be well-off.

“We have sick people in hospitals, and we are here donating for two grown adults,” one fan lamented, expressing frustration with celebrity fundraising efforts.

Others echoed similar sentiments, suggesting that the campaign might intentionally counteract the recent goodwill gesture made by Sir Wicknell, who gifted Daisy, their alleged stepmother, a car.

“It is a good thing to do, but the timing is wrong as it will look like you want to counter Sir Wicknell’s move of giving Daisy a car,” noted another observer.

While some fans rally behind Chimbizi’s efforts to support Sandra and Selmor, others argue that the focus should shift toward those in more pressing need.
