Makhadzi’s Miracle Child album, released just days ago, is currently the leading album in South Africa topping the musical charts of Mzansi.
The Best New International Act award winner, recognized at the event in Los Angeles earlier in 2024, has established herself as one of the finest female musicians in Mzansi.
Composed by Prince Benza, Miracle Child features 21 songs and is dominating the charts alongside the hit single “Bafana,” which is a major success in both Botswana and South Africa.
In the album’s YouTube description, Makhadzi emphasized that the album is a dedication to her life’s struggles, challenges, celebrations, and the moments that shape and reveal the true essence of her faith.
“Presenting my album, Miracle Child When I looked into my wardrobe, I found nothing to cover the pain and joy that life has brought me. So, I chose not to hide them; instead, I decided to wear my experiences every struggle and every triumph as a testament to God’s protection and the miracles of His blessings.”
The Miracle Child album includes dynamic contributions from “Mother of Hymns” Lebo Sekgobela and the trending Nkosazana Daughter, known for her soulful and captivating vocals.
However, some fans on X have expressed that Miracle Child falls short compared to Makhadzi’s past albums, despite its current success.
Looking back, in 2020, Makhadzi an artist who fueled the Limpopo house scene with Venda lyricism and melodies released the Kokovha album, which included hits like “Sugar Sugar,” “Happiness,” and the 2020 Song of the Year, “Murahu.” Kokovha was certified Gold in South Africa, so it’s no surprise that Miracle Child is now dominating the charts.
