The rainbow province is set for a new era as  Albert Nguluvhe begins his work as Provincial Affairs and Devolution after being sworn in at state house. Nguluvhe takes over from Evelyn Ndlovu who was moved to the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Wildlife and sworn alongside him by President Mnangagwa.

In his acceptance speech, the new Minister for Mat South who hails from Beitbridge district emphasised the importance of his role implementing devolution and ensuring coordinated service delivery between central government and the province and leveraging on the province’s resources like gold, lithium, diamond, limestone, and tantalite, with agricultural and strategic importance as a gateway to SADC markets to spearhead development.

Despite past challenges, Minister Nguluvhe aims to turn potential into progress through targeted strategies.

” A Provincial Development Plan will be developed, aligned with national goals, prioritizing value addition in agriculture and mining, public-private partnerships, tourism promotion, innovation, and entrepreneurship,” he said.

Honourable Nguluvhe also promised to lead th province as the most senior government official with integrity.

” I undertake to lead with transparency, accountability, and inclusivity, committing to consult widely, act decisively, and keep the office accessible to all.”

Honourable Albert Nguluvhe is a former deputy director of the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) and current  Beitbridge East Member of Parliament and Ndlovu previously served as Minister of State for Matabeleland South before  latest cabinet reshuffle and was once the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education.
