A 34-year old psychology graduate from Shurugwi, Roseanna Hall was crowned Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2026 on June 7, 2026, in Harare.

She will represent the country at the international Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico.

Hall, who is a mental health advocate running her “Beyond Survival Sisterhood” initiative, beat 29 other finalists in a multi-queen pageant hosted by former Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi.

Beyond Survival Sisterhood focuses on building confidence in women to help them secure financially independent futures.

Hall AKA The Golden Rose was crowned Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2026 at what 9ther media reports said was “a glittering ceremony” at the Harare Hippodrome on Saturday night, an event that once again placed Zimbabwean pageantry firmly in the continental spotlight.

Her Business & Entrepreneurship status places her as an active entrepreneur and the founder of several enterprises, including RJ Cleaning Service.

Her philanthropy and advocacy reveals a young woman passionate about social causes with a professional background in the creative and professional sector, noted for shaping modern Zimbabwean influence and digital content creation.

The Miss Universe pageant itself was established back in 1952 in the United States and has grown into one of the world’s most recognised international platforms celebrating beauty, confidence, leadership and cultural representation.

Over the decades, the competition has evolved far beyond the traditional idea of beauty contests. Modern pageantry now places strong emphasis on intelligence, communication skills, social impact, advocacy and women’s empowerment.

This year’s Zimbabwe edition reflected that modern direction perfectly with contestants were judged not only on elegance and runway presence, but also on leadership qualities, public speaking, discipline, confidence and their ability to represent Zimbabwe on the global stage.

Organisers described the competition as a platform for “beauty with purpose,” empowering young women to become ambassadors for culture, community development and positive social change.

“Hall now steps into one of the most visible cultural ambassador roles in the country. During her reign she will represent Zimbabwe internationally, attend public events, champion charitable and social initiatives, and carry the nation’s identity onto the global Miss Universe stage,” press reports quoted one of the judges remarks.

“Her victory also continues the growing rise and renewed visibility of Zimbabwean women in international pageantry, following recent strong performances by Zimbabwean representatives at Miss Universe competitions.%

The 2026 edition attracted major continental attention, boosted by the presence of Miss Universe 2019, Tunzi, who hosted the glamorous event in Harare.

Her involvement added international prestige to an already highly anticipated evening celebrating African excellence, confidence and identity.
