Harare — Zimdancehall artist Silent Killer, who is never short of drama, is at it again this time facing growing backlash and potential legal consequences after failing to appear at a highly anticipated show hosted by Stige Movement at Cool Runnings in Durban over the weekend  leaving fans disappointed and the promoter fuming.

The event, widely advertised with Silent Killer as the headline act, drew a large turnout of eager fans. But as the night progressed with no sign of the artist, excitement gave way to frustration. The event organiser, Nyabutho Prestige “Stige” Dlamini, released a strongly worded statement slamming the artist’s no-show.

“We arranged everything to the letter from direct flights out of Zimbabwe to hotel accommodations, not to mention a 50% advance payment for his performance,” said Dlamini.

“His failure to show up is unacceptable and disrespectful to both the team and the fans.”

This is reportedly not the first time Silent Killer has missed a scheduled performance, raising concerns about a pattern of unreliability that may jeopardise his career.

Sources close to the industry warn that repeated absences from paid gigs could damage his reputation among promoters and fans alike.

Stige Movement is demanding a public apology from the artist  directed both to fans and the organisers  warning that legal action will follow if he fails to comply.

“Failure to apologise will result in instantaneous legal action. We will open a case for breach of contract and claim damages incurred,” Dlamini stated.

Despite the setback, the event wasn’t a total loss. Qounfuzed and Junior Spragga delivered standout performances that helped rescue the night. Their energy and professionalism drew praise from both the audience and the organisers.

“We sincerely thank the supporting acts and their management for stepping up under difficult circumstances,” the team said.

Stige Movement concluded with an apology to fans and a commitment to uphold professional standards at future events.

“We will not tolerate disregard for commitment, and we will continue to uphold the values of veracity, responsibility, and excellence in our events,” the organisers said.

As the fallout continues, all eyes are now on Silent Killer whose silence may cost more than just a performance fee.

His next move could determine whether this is a temporary stumble or a serious blow to his music career.
