The Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Dr. Jenfan Muswere, announced the approval for Zimbabwe to host the 2025 edition of the National Culture Month from May 1 to May 31 in a recent cabinet briefing yesterday

This year’s theme, “Celebrating Indigenous Voices,” aims to honor the country’s rich cultural heritage and promote cultural diversity while fostering national unity.

The month-long celebration will showcase Zimbabwe’s diverse cultural practices through various forms, including dance, food, attire, visual arts, literary arts, film, television, music, and poetry.

“National Cultural Month aims to celebrate Zimbabwe’s identity and achievements in cultural development, while also demonstrating the country’s commitment to fulfilling regional and international protocols that support the growth of the creative industries,” said Muswere.

The launch event will be presided over by His Excellency President Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa on a date to be confirmed, taking place at the homestead of Chief Tshovani in Masvingo Province.

Each province will hold its own launch event featuring the Ministers of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, creating a vibrant atmosphere of cultural exchange and understanding. This initiative promises to enhance awareness and appreciation of Zimbabwe’s diverse cultural landscape
