Ziyah Media Chief Executive Loadwell Ziyadumah has described the premiere of “Becoming Madam Boss” film as a major milestone for Zimbabwe’s creative industry.

Ziyadumah said the film represents the power of local storytelling and the country’s growing film sector.

Speaking as Guest of Honour at the film’s premiere, Ziyadumah praised the cast, crew, producers, sponsors, and partners for their commitment to bringing the production to life.

He paid special tribute to Tarisai Chikocho (Madam Boss), saying her journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of Zimbabwe’s most recognised entertainers has inspired millions.

“Success is not defined by where you begin, but by the courage to dream, the willingness to work hard, and the determination to keep going despite every obstacle,” he said.

Ziyaduma said Becoming Madam Boss film is more than just entertainment.

It tells a powerful story of ambition, perseverance, self-belief, and resilience that resonates with many people pursuing their dreams, he said.

Ziyadumah also said the film industry in Zimbabwe is important in preserving culture, creating employment, and promoting local talent on the international stage.

“Every production like this contributes to the growth of our creative economy and proves that our stories deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated around the world,” he said.

Ziyadumah who is also the Ziyah News Network CEO said Zimbabweans must support locally produced films.

He said that doing so, strengthens national identity, inspires young people, and creates more opportunities for filmmakers.

Becoming Madam Boss would achieve success both locally and internationally, while congratulating everyone involved in the production, he said.

The premiere attracted invited guests from the entertainiment industry, media, business community, and supporters, marking another significant moment for Zimbabwe’s rapidly growing film sector.

Chikocho’s prominency rose from being a comedian, actress, musician, and socialite.

Born on April 10, 1985, she is best known for her viral comedy skits on social media. She made history by becoming the first Zimbabwean comedian to hit 1 million followers on Facebook.

Her journey and rise to fame cover several notable milestones.

She grew up in the rural Madziva Village of Mashonaland Central and began her career as a gospel musician before transitioning into comedy.

She has worked as a domestic worker and used her experiences to create highly relatable skits.
