Silence Tadzembwa

RISING model Silence Tadzembwa was crowned Miss Beitbridge 2026 on Sunday, July 5, at Purple Heart in Beitbridge.

Tadzembwa who emerged victorious ahead of seven other contestants in a closely contested pageant that celebrated beauty, culture, confidence, and community leadership, earned the opportunity to represent the border town at Miss Tourism Zimbabwe 2027.

Among the top three was, Elisa Siziba, crowned first runner-up, while Samantha Nyoni finished as second runner-up.

Speaking after her victory, the 22-year-old model said she was determined to build on her previous national pageant experience and bring the Miss Tourism Zimbabwe crown to Beitbridge.

“Last year I represented Beitbridge at the national level, but this time it is not just about representing. I want to bring the Miss Tourism Zimbabwe 2027 title home to Beitbridge,” she said.

Tadzembwa has steadily established herself in Zimbabwe’s modelling industry.

She previously reached the top eight at the Miss Tourism Zimbabwe 2026 finals after competing against contestants from across the country, a performance that further elevated her profile on the national stage.

Addressing guests during the event, organiser Chrispen Ncube said the newly crowned queen and her runners-up would serve as ambassadors for Beitbridge as they prepare for the national competition.

“These top three will put Beitbridge on the map by representing the district at Miss Tourism Zimbabwe 2027,” he said.

The evening also featured a surprise reward for the winner.

Master of ceremonies Cliff Dave, popularly known as “UncleDave” and owner of the well-known UncleDave Podcast, offered Tadzembwa a complimentary appearance on his podcast to celebrate her achievement.

Despite suffering a slight injury during one of the competition’s runway segments, Tadzembwa completed the contest.

The pageant, held at Purple Heart, attracted supporters from across Beitbridge and showcased the growing popularity of beauty contests as platforms for youth empowerment, leadership, and tourism promotion.

With the Miss Beitbridge 2026 crown now secured, Tadzembwa’s focus shifts to preparing for Miss Tourism Zimbabwe 2027, where she hopes to make history by bringing the national title to Beitbridge for the first time.
