THE Beitbridge Achievement Awards will light up Kingdom Light Church on July 25, 2026, as the town celebrates outstanding local talent in an evening of entertainment and recognition.
The event will begin with a red carpet session at 6pm before the main entertainment and awards ceremony gets underway at 8pm.
Registration and nominee selection have closed, while public voting remains open until July 23.
Music lovers can expect energetic performances from local stars, including “Magunvosta” hitmaker Mark Geezo, “Thoma Ngane” hitmaker Bhadilah and Venda sensation Prince Adrie, who will headline the entertainment lineup.
Event coordinator Petronella Mudyahoto said preparations were progressing well as organisers count down to the awards ceremony.
“We are a few days away from the awards and preparations are in process. We hope to celebrate talent and uplift entertainment recognition standards in Beitbridge,” she said.
She also said, organisers were encouraged by the response received during the voting period and expected a strong turnout on the night.
“We are looking forward to a good number of people coming to support their local creators. Already the feedback is promising judging by the voting process,” she said.
Performing artist Prince Adrie said he was ready to deliver a memorable performance while celebrating the district’s creative excellence.
“As we celebrate Beitbridge talents, I am more than ready to deliver a splendid performance representing the Venda community and celebrating excellence,” he said.
He also urged beitbridge residents to attend the event in large numbers.
“Please come and support in large numbers as we celebrate Beitbridge. It’s our time now,” he said.
