The Beitbridge Civil Court has moved to the Regional Court building as of September 23 this week.
A notice posted by management informed court users of the relocation.
“Please be advised that the Civil Court has moved to the regional court without knowledge and effect from September 23, 2025 .For any queries you are free to visit our reception,” the notice said .
Court assistant Cleopas Nhamo explained the various cases that are handled at the Civil Court. These include maintenance, assault, marital disputes, custody issues, and relationship problems.
Beitbridge residents and legal practitioners welcomed the development they said would expedite handling of cases, considering a new fit for purpose Court had been built.
“We also know there is a magistrate dedicated to the court and this is a welcome development. We always say justice delayed is justice denied,” said a senior lawyer.
