MUSIC giant Mukudzei Mukombe aka Jah Prayzah has paid tribute to Beitbridge’s Gymruts, and offered the fitness trainers free entry at his show this Friday.
On his show promotional video in circulation in the border town Jah Prayzah gives respect to Gymruts who for the second year running won the Beitbridge Expore Tug of War contest.
“I want to congratulate the Gymruts team. I saw you pulling the rope and making opponents fall like nobody’s business. My gift to you is free entry to my show,” said Jah Prayzah in the video.
Gymruts are a Beitbridge fitness team some of wjose members are known to be related to the master of song Jah Prayzah.

Speaking to this publication, the Gymruts Club coordinator, who requested anonymity, confirmed that the musician was still committed to honouring his promise.
” What I can confirm is that Jah Prayzah confirmed that he will definitely fulfil what he promised to Gymruts,” the coordinator said.
The coordinator said the gesture is a major recognition for the club, saying it would motivate the team to continue participating in competitions and representing Beitbridge.
“It is a good thing to be recognised by such a famous person like Jah Prayzah, and everyone wants to be associated with a good thing,” he said.
“We really thank Jah Prayzah for his generous gesture. It will definitely motivate Team Gymrut’s tug-of-war team to win more competitions.”
The club has already now mobilised its members, with about 15 people confirmed that they will attend the show.
The Beitbridge edition of The Jah Experience is scheduled for Today, August 14, 2026, at Pagomba Cafe, will be starting at 6pm.
According to the event promotional material, Phase One tickets are priced at US$10 for ordinary entry and US$50 for VIP, with tickets available online through SahwiGate.
The Beitbridge show forms part of Jah Prayzah’s “Nyamavhuvhu” Six Stages, One Journey” tour, which also includes performances in Harare, Chitungwiza, Masvingo and at the Harare Agricultural Show.
For Gymrut members, however, the night will carry an added significance, a chance to witness one of Zimbabwe’s biggest music acts after receiving a special invitation earned through their victory on the tug-of-war field.
